STUDY: "Long Covid" Has No Distinct Symptoms or Definition
Long-sufferers are not actually very longsuffering
As belief dwindled though, the government’s desire for control remained very high.
Hence “Long Covid”, the goofy claim that the symptoms could go away for a while but also return later for no apparent reason, and despite the alleged victims following all of the (ever-evolving) protocols laid out for them by the same experts.
In March, the fact that Covid was indistinguishable from the Flu was admitted by the CDC, to the surprise of nobody with a brain, but also many years after it would have made any difference to countless destroyed marriages, careers, businesses and political systems around the world.
CDC: Coronavirus Pretty Much Just the Flu, Safe to Return to Work if No Fever
Here’s the thing about Democracy.
They said it was “safe to treat it exactly like the flu.” I had also said the same thing when the original hoax was first announced.
Now we have a new four-year study out declaring that patients who have Long Covid also have “markedly few” differences from those who don’t.
Interesting!
A new study by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) highlights the difficulty of finding a lab test for long Covid – a novel condition that encompasses dozens of symptoms and is currently considered a “diagnosis of exclusion”.
Long Covid’s most common symptoms include brain fog, fatigue and heart palpitations, which can change over time and be disabling when severe.
Approximately one in 20 adults reported persistent symptoms of Covid, as of June 2024.
The study followed patients for four years and included a battery of standard lab tests, but found “markedly few” differences between people who had long Covid and those who did not.
Markedly few is fewer than I was promised.
Few would have been bad enough, but better than nothing. When you have to qualify how few diffs exist between Long and Nonlong Covid as ‘markedly’, you are really missing the mark(edly).
But wait!
That’s only true if you focus on the medical model of health and disease (which would be cisheteronormative).
If you consider other factors, Long Covid folks do appear to have some underlying traits in common.
Now I realize it’s tempting to skip over the longish news article quotations but yo: see what you think about this part because it is interesting (weird).
The research, published in the Annals of Internal Medicine, looked at more than 10,000 adults across 83 clinical sites in the US between 2021 and 2023. About 1,800 participants met researchers’ definition for long Covid.
Participants received a panel of 25 standard blood and urine tests in the study beginning either six months after infection or when they enrolled. They were followed for four years. Like other long Covid studies, the majority of participants were middle-aged women. The group was considered racially diverse.
Scientists found few differences between people diagnosed with long Covid and those who did not meet the criteria. Researchers found a modest association with HbA1c, a measure of average blood sugar over two to three months, but the association disappeared when they controlled for pre-existing diabetes.
Similarly, they considered a test that showed slightly lower kidney function for some participants, but the metric appeared in only a minority of patients and may have resulted from initial Covid-19 infection.
LOL!
This is beneath the Guardian (arguably the world’s greatest newspaper).
They spent all those words to say Long Covid is a fake (phony) hoax that disappears under the scrutiny of a years-long clinical study with 10,000 participants.
So: FAKE!
Hypochondriasis?
I know it is painful to consider the idea that certain people (like Mr. Woodhouse in Emma) are mentally prone to misinterpret reality in a way that leads them to false conclusions about their health, or even to become infantile about mundane risks in their environment (the psychological term for this is hypochondriasis).
But…
I wonder if there are any other studies about Long Covid and personality traits and stuff. Like what the Long Covid people are like, or what the non-Longsufferers are like.
Bruh…
Haha.
Lol wow.
Hold up.
Are you telling me I could have used a mix of conscientiousness, openness, agreeableness and extraversion to more successfully resist the crushing forces of global conformity during the pandemic?
Are you further telling me that the converse success of the lockdowns and wealth transfer scams were largely a function of collective neurosis (mass formation psychosis)?
Get out!
That’s kinda cool tbqh.
Trannies hardest hit????
Shocker!!!!
