Republican Congressman Tells Tucker Every GOP Rep Has an AIPAC Babysitter to Ensure They Vote Pro-Israel
American government btw
The government is fake.
You do NOT have representative democracy.
Your elected reps in Congress do NOT do what is in your best interests, nor do they consent your opinions when they vote on laws and resolutions.
None of this is remotely surprising, and it’s all very obvious. You can see these realities by looking at how disastrous the foreign wars are, or the immigration policies, or just by looking at public records about donors to the reps.
But last week, we got some really refreshing candor about all of this from Kentucky Republican Congressman Thomas Massie. He has taken several courageous stands lately in refusing to join the congressional mob in voting infinity funds and support for Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
He did an interview with Tucker Carlson which you should see. (Another guy who has been really coming up to the table lately, especially with his sympathetic interview of Vladimir Putin in February.)
Even if you can only spare three minutes, watch the video in the news link below, or skim the transcript of what he Massie told Tucker about how voting ALWAYS works on the GOP side of Congress.
Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) told Tucker Carlson that the American Israel Public Affairs Committee has designated representatives assigned to each Republican member of Congress to ensure the lawmakers vote for bills Israel supports.
Appearing on Friday’s edition of The Tucker Carlson Show, Massie explained some of AIPAC’s tactics to sway lawmakers. The congressman told Carlson that he banned AIPAC from his office after the group lobbied against his reelection. Massie said the bad blood began when he refused the group’s request to write a white paper on Israel when he first ran for Congress.
“I have Republicans, you come to me on the floor and say, ‘I wish I could vote with you today. Yours is the right vote, but I would just take too much flak back home,'” Massie stated. “And I have Republicans who come to me and say, ‘That’s wrong, what [AI]PAC is doing to you. Let me talk to my AIPAC person.’ By the way, everybody but me has an AIPAC person.”
Did you read that?
Do you understand what we are saying here?
Everybody has an AIPAC person. Out of over 200 Republican reps, Massie is the only one who does NOT have his own babysitter from this group telling him how to vote.
Agents from a political action committee representing the foreign government of Israel have a dedicated vote-coach for EVERY SINGLE GOP representative in Congress.
Why?
Isn’t the point of congress to send one person from your district to Washington, DC to represent your interests (and those of your neighbors) to the federal government? Why should the reps voting choices be influenced at all, let alone absolutely, by any foreign government or its agents?
This is not corruption. It’s government for sale to the highest bidder.
“What does that mean – an AIPAC person?” Carlson asked, prompting this exchange:
MASSIE: It’s like your babysitter. Your AIPAC babysitter who is always talking to you for AIPAC. They’re probably a constituent in your district, but they are, you know, firmly embedded in AIPAC.
CARLSON: And every member has something like this.
MASSIE: Every Re– I don’t know how it works on the Democrats’ side. But that’s how it works on the Republican side. And when they come to D.C., you go have lunch with them. And they’ve got your cell number and you have conversations with them. So I’ve had like–
CARLSON: That’s absolutely crazy.
MASSIE: I’ve had four members of Congress say, “I’ll talk to my AIPAC person.” And like that’s clearly what we call them, my AIPAC guy. I’ll talk to my AIPAC guy and see if I can get them to, you know, dial those ads back.
CARLSON: Why have I never heard this before?
MASSIE: It doesn’t benefit anybody. Why would they want to tell their constituents that they’ve basically got a buddy system with somebody who’s representing a foreign country? It doesn’t benefit the congressman for people to know that. So they’re not going to tell you that.
Well.
I, dear reader, am going to tell you that. Your whole government is completely sold out, indeed, to a political lobby representing a foreign government. And that lobby uses a combination of threats (whether it’s compromising blackmail or vows to bankroll the opposition) and cash donations to guarantee that every vote relevant to Israel goes Israel’s way in the US Congress.
And don’t kid yourself the same isn’t true on the Democrat side. Obviously, Joe “Biden” Brandon and his crew have been doing whatever they are told to do by the State of Israel on the government level, through both policy and public statements.
Even the completely outlandish statements from Secretary of State Antony Blinken about how Israel definitely wants a ceasefire in the Gaza war and are definitely eager to negotiate don’t undermine this idea.
Do you know what Netanyahu says about those comments from Blinken (or Kirby or anyone in the Biden government)? He always immediately contradicts them and says, “No, on the contrary, we will keep going at any cost, no matter what, until we have completely wiped out all of Hamas.”
At first it was like…
And…
But then it was like…
So. It’s really just amazing that anyone would ever ever ever listen to anything said by anyone in the American government. How do even Republican voters square up both mocking Biden and also trusting what his lackeys say about Israel?
Israel is proceeding to do whatever it wants, and can only do what it wants, with the cooperation and funding of the American government, president and state department.
But the officials go out there and lie and say that they only want peace and that Israel agrees and is about to stop bombing any day now.
It’s all just deliberately confusing gibberish.
Presumably at this point in the war, Netanyahu is pivoting hard toward provoking deeper and larger war in the north with Lebanon and, in their hopeful view, broader war with Iran.
That would put the entire American Empire even more firmly on the hook to back Israel to the hilt, and save Netanyahu’s hide from the impending corruption charges and prison which he is staving off with all of this psychopathic murder in Gaza.
Hamas actually is saying, quite obviously and publicly, that they are open to a ceasefire.
But don’t expect anyone in the Israeli government, or anyone in the American government, or any brainwashed Republican voter for that matter, to take note of the statements of Hamas. That would involve curiosity about what both sides want, something that your garden-variety GOP voter doesn’t even have about Israel, let alone Palestine.
Their basic attitude is, “Israel invincibly good and right all the time and in all ways, any Muslim always incurably wrong and bad in all ways.”
If you ask them what any of it has to do with American interests, they will say one of a few scripted bot responses:
Israel is our greatest ally (they are not any sort of ally, let alone one of the best)
Israel is the only democracy in the middle east (democracy is bad and Israel is not even remotely a democracy—they are far closer to a racial purity state with a diverse range of political opinions which lean far further toward Jewish Theocracy than toward any kind of democracy, although the demography of Tel Aviv complicates that a bit with its being host to so many very aggressively liberal/globalist types and gay rights advocates).
Oh I’m against any country influencing our government, why do you care only about Israel doing this? (Because only Israel is doing this. Listen to the interview with Massie in the main link, or go find me counterexamples of other countries doing it. They don’t.)
I don’t care which side wins or what they do, just leave me out of it (Oh really? Then how do you explain our government’s decision immediately after October 7 to send aircraft carriers to float nearby just in case it’s necessary to bomb Iran into oblivion forever because we are totally neutral and don’t care which side wins in a border conflict between two nations which both have majority non-Christian populations and governments?)
Oh yeah, I was talking about Massie’s story about the AIPAC babysitters for congressmen.
Carlson followed up by asking if any other countries have similar “guys” for whipping lawmakers.
SPOILER: No. No other countries have this set up. No British babysitters to ensure pro-British votes. No French babysitters to ensure pro-French votes. No other foreign government does this.
“They pay for trips for congressmen and their spouses to go to Israel,” He continued. “I’m not the only Republican who hasn’t taken the AIPAC trip to Israel, but I’m probably one of a dozen that hasn’t taken that trip and the other ones just haven’t got around to it.”
Really? They give paid vacations to congressmen and their spouses to go to Israel?
I wonder if those trips influence how the congressmen go on to vote?
And only about a dozen haven’t made the trip yet?
But Massie has promised he won’t go on one!
Maybe this guy should run for president!
In case you missed it, AIPAC fought hard in May to defeat Massie in his districts GOP primary, but their asses got knocked out hard by King Massie.
