Pair of Women Accuse Matt Gaetz of Paying Them for Sex

You can assume virtually the whole American government is tangled up in all kinds of sex escapades.
Pretending to be shocked by this makes you look like a dishonest moron masquerading as a Puritan in current year.
What I require is consistency from the media and its allies in government. They need to pick one of the following two options (and each option is a package deal):
Repent and believe the Gospel, which would of course involve a complete reformation of how journalists and politicians conduct their business and their lives, and would mean giving up on the whole “we love abortions and gays and drag queen story hour and killing civilians and Gay Space Communism” thing, but at least they could justify acting indignant when they catch wind that someone in Congress paid hookers. OR…
Skip the virtue signaling and trial-by-media whenever you dislike a candidate or political appointee while retaining your celebratory attitude toward all things “gay, anti-Christian and anti-Family”, because that would also be consistent as a package deal of coherent, whole-cloth Liberalism.
But no.
Our rulers in media and government wish to pick and choose which parts of Christianity they wish to enforce, and especially when they want to enforce it (it will only be against people they dislike, conveniently timed to deprive those people of power and conveniently limited never to encompass things like Bill Clinton sleeping with interns or Megan Thee Stallion twerking at the DNC).
The upshot today is that two adult females are appearing out of thin (heh) air to accuse Trump’s Attorney General pick Matt Gaetz of paying them for sex when (they allege) they were 17 years old.
There are so many problems with this absolutely goofy narrative.
Oh you just remembered the bad times at the party with Matt? Nobody made you a sweetheart offer to produce (or dare we suggest, exaggerate) such a testimony?
Oh he paid you? And you have Venmo records? Well prostitution isn’t only illegal for johns. It’s illegal for the prostitutes as well, “ladies”.
Oh you happened to become concerned about these past experiences at parties after Matt was nominated to become Attorney General? Because you are highly moral paragons of virtue who consider selling yourselves a private matter (good clean fun) if the guy’s from Congress, but a newsworthy event if he’s up for (checks Instagram) ATTORNEY GENERAL!!!???
Oh you were a “minor?” Which state was this in? Because different states have different legally defined ages for consent.
So yeah: the timing, the Liberal Playbook, the convenience of anonymity (Trust Us Bros), the hypocrisy of eagerly promoting every kind of sexual degeneracy in government schools, the rampancy of teachers grooming their students in said schools….
It all stinks to high heaven, and it is all so very tiresome.
And we haven’t even discussed the fact that we’ve already been over ALL of this with Gaetz, who was put through the wringer for similar charges by Brandon’s DOJ.
Two women interviewed by the House Ethics Committee about former GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida, President-elect Donald Trump’s pick to be attorney general, testified that Gaetz paid them directly and repeatedly in Venmo transactions “for sex,” and that those transactions were obtained by the committee, an attorney for the women told CBS News.
Prior to that, though, the poor dears were completely unfamiliar with the whole “sex” concept. Of that you can be quite sure.
The attorney, Joel Leppard, also said the women testified that Gaetz inquired in text messages about “party favors” and “vitamins” at upcoming parties, which was understood to be code for drugs.
Tsk, tsk CBS News. Passive voice at such a time as this? More like Passive Aggressive Voice, right?
Leppard, who is based in Orlando, said his clients testified that they attended parties from 2017 to January 2019 where Gaetz was present and sex and drug use took place.

In an interview Monday with CBS News chief Washington correspondent Major Garrett, Leppard said one of his clients testified before the House Ethics Committee that she witnessed Gaetz having sex with a 17-year-old girl against a game table at a July 2017 party. Gaetz was sworn into Congress in January 2017, so all of the events the women allege took place while he was a member of the House.

You mean…he used his new-found Congressional Super Powers to pressure these damsels—nay, shield maidens—into an otherwise repellent pool party???
Women are supremely powerful and competent—except in situations where they are prevented from being such by the Irresistible Force of Nature known as the Congress Party.
No, a man’s being in Congress does not exacerbate the immorality of any given act; nor does a man’s being a janitor diminish the immorality of the same act.

Ok, but if you watch the second Tweet clip above, you’ll see the anchor quoting a very good statement from Trump’s team saying that this is a political hit job, trying to make Trump look bad and obstruct his transition.

One source familiar with Gaetz’s legal position questioned the credibility of the women and argued their recollections would not have withstood cross examination in court, had it come to that.
I’m pretty sure even Margaret Atwood would question these beach bunnies.
Gaetz, who has denied all wrongdoing, including having sex with a minor, has blasted the committee’s investigation against him and on Thursday called the testimony about him a “false smear.”
Gaetz’s conduct was also investigated by federal prosecutors, but they ended the probe in 2023 without filing charges.

One of his clients said in a text to Leppard, “‘Regardless of how many times he tries to distract from the truth, the public deserves to know that what we all experienced was real and actually happened.’”

Because of its relevance to a job applicant’s morals?
What about Pete Buttigieg? In his Senate confirmation when he was appointed to be the Secretary of GRIDS (Gay Related Immuno Deficiency Syndrome), did anyone ask about his decision to attend gay orgies and adopt two children, despite known plans he had to molest those children?
