If you believe the East Palestine victims of a toxic chemical spill from a train derailment are more entitled to help from the American government than the people fighting for child tranny rights in the Ukraine, then you are not who you are.
You are not who we are.
We are who we are in a rules-based order of Democracy Values. You may wonder: what are those rules? The ones the order of democracy is based on.
That question is not allowed to be asked. The people who wrote the rules understand them perfectly, but they also cannot be discussed because democracy is fragile.
You can't ask questions about what the rules are, or what the values are. You just have to be Who We Are in a Democracy. And democracy means fighting for trans rights in the Donbass, even though you probably have no idea how to locate the Donbass on a globe.
Workers that aided in the cleanup of the train derailment in Ohio have experienced lingering migraines and nausea, according to a union representative for workers that build and maintain railways for Norfolk Southern.
Jonathan Long, a union representative for the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees Division of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, said in a Wednesday letter to Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine (R) that around 40 workers were ordered by Norfolk Southern, which owns the train that derailed in East Palestine, Ohio, last month, to clean up the wreckage.
Long said he had received reports that the workers were not given proper personal protection equipment to help clean up the wreckage, not being offered respirators, eye protection and protective clothing.
He also said many employees “reported that they continue to experience migraines and nausea, days after the derailment, and they all suspect that they were willingly exposed to these chemicals at the direction of [Norfolk Southern].”
I wouldn't be at all surprised if this company deprived its workers of proper protection, or even tried to expose them on purpose. Someone either at Norfolk Southern or in the government directed that the spilled vinyl chloride (which is absolutely deadly and carcinogenic by the way) be burned.
The bizarre burning move caused dangerous cancer vapors to spread way faster and further than they'd have gone if the chemicals hadn't been burned.
Norfolk Southern in a statement challenged the claim that proper personal protective equipment was not used at the scene.
“In East Palestine, Norfolk Southern was on-scene immediately after the derailment and coordinated our response with hazardous material professionals who were on site continuously to ensure the work area was safe to enter and the required PPE was utilized, all in addition to air monitoring that was established within an hour,” the company said in a statement to The Hill.
There's no reason at all to believe what these people are saying. Everyone in East Palestine is going to be at least horribly sickened by the effects of the spill for the rest of their lives. Many will die from cancer.
People were finding dead animals everywhere in the area within days after the wreck happened. They'd perish faster obviously, but the toxins will catch up with the people in time.
But let's grant that Norfolk Southern did provide its cleanup crews with all the best safety equipment. They're still having migraines and nausea a month later, despite allegedly wearing all of the protection. What can we expect for people who didn't have it and were similarly exposed?
This is the worst environmental disaster in American history. And it was basically buried for a month by the mainstream media. The vinyl chloride toxins are going to be in the environment of East Palestine for decades. Reports are coming in of people getting weird smells from it as far away as New York State. It could also threaten Kentucky and the Virginias.
The derailment of the train in East Palestine, which was carrying hazardous materials, has raised concerns about potential environmental and health hazards. Area residents were briefly ordered to evacuate after the crash before being cleared to return to their homes days later. Some have since reported experiencing unusual symptoms such as rashes and burning sensations when they breathe.
The incident has also sparked a political hailstorm both in the state and nationally. The Biden administration, and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg in particular, has faced tough scrutiny for its reaction to the derailment.
Trump did some awesome photo opps in the town, visiting them and giving away tons of his Based Trump Water. This is great optics, obviously and makes him look great while also further humiliating Brandon. Trump also went to the local McDonald's and bought hamburgers for all of the cops and firefighters.
The alleged president Jim Brandon hates the people of East Palestine, Ohio for one simple and valid reason: their collective refusal to support gay rights in the Ukraine. If they could stop whining a few minutes about their cancer fears and consider the sickening dearth of bottom surgery clinics in that benighted region, maybe they’d learn a thing or two about Real Democracy.
Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg feels similarly to Brandon about the people who were sprayed with toxins after the train wreck. He would rather do press conferences about racist highway names than address the facts of corporate and federal malfeasance which are bound to do untold damage to the health and economy of Ohio for many years to come.
Notice too: there is no comment happening at all from the climate change doomsday cultists. These people, who are losing their minds daily trying to force everyone to eat bugs because cow farts are allegedly heating up the planet, have nothing to say about all of the animals in a town dying from a deadly chemical spill. The worst environmental disaster ever means nothing to them because there are secret 'rules-based' facts known only to them which disqualify East Palestine from our sympathy.
